What is an Athletic Trainer?
Athletic trainers are certified and licensed healthcare professionals who provide services to athletes and physically active patients in various settings. We are trained in injury prevention, clinical evaluation and diagnosis, immediate and emergency care, healthcare administration, and treatment and rehabilitation.
You can find athletic trainers working in a multitude of settings, including but not limited to: secondary school athletics, physician offices, colleges/universities, industrial work-sites, military, and performing arts.
Athletic trainers collaborate with physicians, physical therapists, and other medical professionals in and beyond the sports medicine field to provide appropriate treatment options for all of our athletes.
